« Le dentifrice »

Dans le cadre d'une résidence avec l'artiste Nina Childress, au début de mon cursus aux Beaux Arts, en 2001, j'ai réalisé cette série de portraits suivant le thème du dentifrice qui nous était imposé. A travers ces photographies, j'ai voulu créer un sentiment d'agonie chez ces personnes, allongées au sol et ayant du mal à respirer. Il s'agit de mon premier travail sur l'idée de violences provoquées par les médias, ici représentés par un produit marketing, qui devient alors un danger. La série originale, est composée de 9 photographies de format 20/30.

In a residence with the artist Nina Childress, at the beginning of my course in Fine Arts, in 2001, I carried out this series of photographic portraits according to the topic of the toothpaste which was imposed to us. Through these photographs, I wanted to create a feeling of anguish
at these people, lengthened on the ground and having difficulty to breathe. Its my first work on the idea of violences caused by medias, represented here by a marketing product, who becomes a danger then. The original series, is made up of 9 photographs of format 20/30.
